FASHION MONTH AT THE MUSEUM OF FINE ART

Not only do theyhave two stylish new exhibitions, “Avedon Fashion 1944–2000” and “Scaasi: American Couturier,” the month is full of fashionable fun. Grab your girlfriends for events featuring new runway looks with Saks Fifth Avenue, mini-makeovers, films, and talks with Don Ed Hardy, and more.

You won’t want to miss the five-week course “The Look: Fashion, Photography, and Film,” which explores fashion’s ever-changing form from the 1950s to today. And on October 26 and 28, Jay Calderin, founder and executive director of Boston Fashion Week, explores the latest trends and the future of fashion. His highly anticipated annual event serves as a platform for both established industry professionals and aspiring newcomers to showcase the great wealth of local talent.
