Jacquelyn Brooks Designs is a professionally accredited fashion design studio. Jacquelyn Brooks, holds a Bachelors of Science in Apparel Design and Technology and can custom design any apparel item.

About the Designer
Jacquelyn Brooks is an emerging fashion designer from Gainesville, FL.  Ms. Brooks grew up in Gainesville and went on to college at The Florida State University where she received a B.S. in Apparel Design. After graduating she returned to Gainesville where she opened a design studio across from the University of Florida.

 

Ms. Brooks’ passion is designing women’s formal wear.  Her designs include bridal, formal, semi- formal gowns and resort wear.   Clients commission Jacquelyn to design their red carpet formal gowns for premier social events including Noche de Gala, Oscar night at the Hippodrome, STOP Children’s Cancer Fantasy event, Five Points of Life, and original bridal gowns.  Ms. Brooks has also designed competition gowns for the Miss University of Florida and Miss Gainesville pageants. 

 

Jacquelyn is a strong advocate for community service and has donated her designer gowns to local charities silent auctions including The American Heart Association’s annual Heart Ball and STOP Children’s Cancer Holiday Concert.  Jacquelyn also designed the live auction piece for the Cure by Design Fashion Show, which supports cancer research.  Her designer original raised $5000 for the American Cancer Society.
